Memo
From: INFORMATION DESK
To: AJ1 Personnel
Date: August 2
Subject: Security Rules
Since our work deals most with confidential matters, we at Hoover’s Computing Agency ensure that our level of security is higher than other common corporations. Staff who were recently employed may be accustomed to a workplace where computer passwords are changed monthly, yet our company’s regulation is for passwords to be changed within the first hour of every first working day of the week. As a precaution for your password, avoid using the names of your favorite pets, cartoon characters, or even your birthday. We recommend you select any song title and get the first letter of every word in the title and use it as your password. For instance, “Nothing Compares To You’’ would create NCTY as a password. Passwords should not be written anywhere and should be kept secret even to your supervisor. Please call Solomon Brown, security officer, if you fail to remember your password.
