Weekly New Business Spotlight:

Revitalize Renovations

John and Bradley Nichols’ one-year-old company, Revitalize Renovations, is changing the climate of the real estate market in central Sydney. The small firm works with existing landlords in the city to refurbish older apartments. This pair of consultants evaluates properties to determine what improvements would most efficiently increase value and rental income potential. From outdoor landscaping to indoor floor installation, Revitalize Renovations then selects and manages skilled laborers in completing the project. So far, all of their work has been concentrated in central Sydney.

A local landlord, Whitney Grey, recently contracted the Nichols brothers to refurbish her city-centre apartment building. “After working with Revitalize Renovations, I saw my rental profits go up by 11 percent thanks to both increased tenant demand and the reduced costs for power and water. I received numerous calls from tenants about how much they enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views from the new rooftop terrace. I will certainly seek advice from Revitalize Renovations again,” said Grey.

The Nichols brothers can be contacted through their Web site, revren.com.au, where interested parties can learn more about the company and submit details of a proposed project.

Mr. Nichols.

I am writing because I recently purchased a building in Point Piper, a seaside town near Sydney. I thought you might be interested in the project. The building is not cuiTcntly in habitable condition, so it had a very low sale price. However, it is close to public transportation, which is a major advantage. Within the next few months. I want to turn this building into a nice living space and put the fifteen apartments in the building up for rent.

I have limited experience in construction and could benefit greatly from your help. Additionally. I would like to learn about compliance with new energy guidelines and how this may affect potential improvements to the electrical wiring. Please let me know if you would be available to discuss this with me.

Thank you.
