To whom it may concern;
I am writing which is sut about my electricity bill for April. The amount due is listed as $243.12, which is stantially’higher than what 1 have been invoiced in previous months.
I paid the bill in question so I would not miss the deadline, but I would like to know the reason for the sudden increase in the amount. If the charge is incorrect. I would appreciate an adjustment to my account.
I know that my meter is quite old and wonder if it should be replaced. If a technician needs to check it, the best time would be before noon on any weekday. I am at home then and would prefer to be present if possible while the work is being done.

The technician who visited your Cawfield Road residence this morning determined that the old meter had registered your usage incorrectly. The meter was replaced, and the problem should not occur again. The malfunction affects your bill for April only.
A credit in the amount of $83.27 will appear on your next bill.
