Trong đề thi Part 5 Toeic chúng ta vẫn thường thấy đề thi cho tìm khoảng trống điền trạng từ rất phổ biến. Về cơ bản là mỗi khi các bạn thấy câu đã đầy đủ thành phần chúng ta sẽ chọn trạng từ, nhưng thực tế trong khi làm bài đôi khi ta không biết câu đó đã đủ thành phần, rõ nghĩa hay chưa. Sau đây là tóm tắt những vị trí thường gặp cần điền trạng từ giúp các bạn làm bài nhanh và chính xác hơn:
1. Trạng từ bổ nghĩa cho tính từ đứng trước tính từ
Tobe / V ……………. Adj ( V_ing / V_ed )
Linking Verb
(look, feel, seem,get,..)
Ex: She looks…..really / very……happy
=> Cần điển trạng từ bổ nghĩa cho “happy” (cô ấy trông thật sự/ rất vui vẻ)
The maintenance process of Samsung Motors is……. monitored by our managers and customers.
2. Trạng từ bổ nghĩa cho động từ và đứng xung quanh động từ
…………..+ Verb + …………..
( trừ make, keep, find, call.. + N + adj)
Ex: Tom run his company…….sucessfully…… (Tom điều hành cty của anh ấy 1 cách rất thành công).
I could solve the problem………….after reading the enclosed manual
Ex: the students……..quickly.…..do their research. (nhóm sinh viên thực hiện nghiên cứu của họ một cách nhanh chóng).
3. Trạng từ bổ nghĩa cho mệnh đề và đứng đầu hoặc cuối mệnh đề

……… S V O…….. + liên từ + ……….S V O………..
Ex: …… Similarly….., most adults can identify only about five out of a set of 21 colours that are only slightly different. (Tương tự, hầu hết người lớn chỉ có thể xác định khoảng 5 trong số 21 màu chỉ khác nhau một chút)
